Support  Longlands

Financial Support

The daily running costs of the Longlands charity are mainly met from the commissioning agencies – schools, local authority etc – and a grant from the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia.

Our specialist Mental Health Support is funded by a three year grant from the National Lottery.

All capital expenditure, from a new bean bag to a new buggy (the care farm’s well-used ‘All Terrain Vehicle’), including the recently completed roundhouse headquarters,  comes from grant giving bodies, fund raising, and individual donations.  Recent fund-raisers have included sponsored walks, and we welcome new ideas.

Contact us to find out more about donating, fund-raising, or making a bequest in your will.  Donations can also be gift aided.

Volunteer at Longlands

Our volunteers, often very well qualified themselves, work alongside our core staff.   They bring different life experience and perspectives, as well as helping to develop students’ social skills.  It is a vital but demanding role.  We also have volunteers who work in the background, for example on maintenance.

To find out more, and to apply to volunteer, contact us to arrange a visit.

Our Funders

We are immensely grateful for the many individuals and organisations who support our vital work, including:
